To check if the default recovery CD will work for you, simply boot off the recovery CD (after you burn it with the ISO image) and if the recovery environment can recognize all your hard drives and such then you are all set.

Please note that if you have 64 bit windows you would need to get the 32 bit version of any drivers before you can create a Custom recovery CD.
